Daily Activities

A variety of daily activities are offered in a large group, small group or 1:1 setting. These activities may include: crafts, social games, sing-alongs, triva/word games, exercise, cooking, tea parties, reminiscing, sensory activities, grooming activities, current events, bible studies and holiday events.

Bingo is provided for the clients 2-3 times per month. Two sessions are provided through outside volunteer groups from local churces. One session is called Birthday Bingo. Clients with a birthday that month receive a gift and the group gets cake/juice.

Various musical entertainers are scheduled 2-3 times per month. The Volunteer Coordinator is always looking for low cost options for any type of performance.

Nintendo Wii

The Nintendo Wii system is offered to each unit on a regular basis. These games provide range of motion, hand-eye coordination, and healthy competition. The clients play various sport, exercise or social games on the Wii system.

Pet Therapy

Pets have a tremendous way of lifting the residents' spirits. There are several volunteers who have trained dogs who visit on a regular basis. Families also bring the residents' own pets to visit with permission.

Religious Services

Communion services are provided each Sunday and open to anyone. There is also a monthly Catholic mass and a monthly Protestant service. Each resident's religious and spiritual needs are met to the best of the facility's ability.
