Tier II Information

Mission Statement

The mission of the Brown County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) is to develop emergency response plans to prepare and respond to chemical emergencies,
and to inform the community about hazardous chemicals that reside in Brown County.

The LEPC consists of 41 members & rescue industry, county emergency government, hospitals, transporters and the news media. Members are assigned to one of our standing committees.

Public meetings are conducted a minimum of six times each year every other month beginning in January culminating in a recognition meeting in December. Meetings begin at 1:30 PM and are held at various sites throughout the county.

Right to Know Request
Under the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act (EPCRA), certain information is available to the public. Use the Right to Know Request form for information requests to the LEPC.

Meeting Schedule
All meeting times will be held on the second Tuesday of every other month at 1:30 PM unless otherwise noted on the agenda. Please contact the Office of Emergency Management at (920) 391-7431 for meeting locations.
