ELIGIBILITY STANDARDS

Persons meeting the following criteria will be considered for admission to the Brown County Heroin Treatment Court Program:

1. Brown County Resident
2. Not subject to jurisdiction of juvenile court and satisfies age standards of treatment providers
3. Pending felony offense is for a crime resulting from/motivated by opiate addiction/dependency.
4. Pending offense is non-violent
5. Participant has been convicted of the offense for which he/she was arrested and referred to the treatment court
6. No prior violent felony convictions – WI 941.291(1)(b)
7. No prior/current convictions involving use of dangerous weapon
8. No prior/current sex offenses, stalking, arson, or kidnapping offenses
9. AODA assessment determines a need for treatment
10. Voluntary agreement to participate and abide by the rules of the Heroin Court
11. Willingness to address issues of abuse/dependency/addiction
12. Ability to physically participate in treatment
