Planting for a Purpose

Pounds of donated produce reported in 2019, starting in April 2019

Planting for a Purpose is a program through the Extension Brown County Community Gardens Program and Green Bay Packers Give Back for gardeners to plant a plot and donate fresh produce to local food pantries.

Sign up today to participate! We'll send you timely tips and program updates throughout the growing season. Be sure to check out our list of pantries that accept fresh produce donations and their preferred drop-off times in the brochure below. Join Planting for a Purpose so that everyone can have the fruits and vegetables they need!

In 2019, the program also distributed seed potatoes, donated by the Wisconsin Seed Potato Certification Program, for those willing to donate half of their harvest to a food pantry.
