Lab Testing

The Brown County Public Health Division has a certified laboratory on-site to assist in the bacteriological analysis of water. Samples taken from licensed establishments are tested to determine their bacteriological quality. We also do well water testing with a nominal fee charged in most cases.

Function:
  • Test water for coliform bacteria
  • Distribute information regarding what to do if an unsafe sample is obtained
  • Inform and educate regarding the types of diseases related to water
