Adding Money to Inmate Account
1. How do I add money to an inmate's account?

You can add money to an inmate's account in the following ways:
1. Add money at the Lobby Kiosk located in the Main Jail or Work Release Center visiting lobbies.
2. Go online at inmatecanteen.com and follow the instructions.

General
1. How can I bond someone out of jail?

You may pay a bond at the Brown County Jail for Brown County bonds, local municipal bonds and bonds issued by other counties.

Form of bond payment must be either cash, credit card, or a cashiers check issued from a bank. (If a credit card is used, you will be informed about a non-refundable surcharge prior to use.)

You can make direct payments for bonds to Government Payment Services (GPS). We have a link (govpaynet.com) that you can click on in the Links tab along the left side of the screen or you can call 1-888-604-7888. If you don't have the information - the website can assist you.

2. What kind of property can I bring to an inmate?

Effective July 7th, 2019, the Brown County Jail will no longer accept white clothing in person through visiting. All white clothing must now be ordered from Walmart, Target, Kohls or Amazon and mailed directly from the store to the Jail. The clothing must be cotton and must also be plain white (no logos, etc...) Please note, an inmate is only permitted 3 sets each of the following white clothing. (T-shirts, underwear, socks, thermal tops or bottoms and sports bra) Items in excess of 3 will be donated to the jail laundry department and utilized for indigent inmates.



3. Can I send an inmate magazines and/or books?

We do allow magazines and books sent in with the following restrictions;
  1. The items must be delivered from a vendor or book store or by subscription.
  2. The items must be soft covered.
  3. Inmates are limited to 2 magazines and 3 books in their cell due to the limited amount of space.
  4. United Kindom (UK) editions of magazines are not permitted.
  5. Materials deemed to be a threat to security, racially derogatory or inflammatory in nature will be considered contraband and will be seized and/or desposed of by policy.


Inmate Phone System
1. I am unable to receive calls from inmates at the Brown County Jail or I want to setup calls at the Brown County Jail.

To address issues with the Inmate phone system, please call Securus at 1-800-844-6591.

Jail Billing
1. How can I pay PPS for my outstanding debt?

You can call 1-800-798-2861 or you can go to the link - payments@paypps.com or fax to either of the following numbers: 1-877-220-4102 or 414-220-4102.

2. Who handles the collections for Jail billing?

Professional Placement Services - PPS

Jail Visitation
1. What are the visitation times for the Main Jail?

The Main Jail is located at 3030 Curry lane, Green Bay, WI 54311

Effective January 1, 2019, the Visiting Schedule will be changing at the Main Jail.

Professional Visiting Hours
8:15 am - 11:00 am
12:15 pm - 4:00 pm
5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Personal Visiting Hours
If your last name begins with letters A - L your visiting times are as follows:


Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
5:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
8:15 am - 11:00 am and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

If your last name begins with letters M - Z your visiting times are as follows:

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
8:15 am - 11:00 am and 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
5:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Release Times
1. What is the normal release time for inmates that have completed their sentence?

Inmates are released from Jail once their sentence has been served at 8:00 am daily.
