General Information

Our Adult Services area provides assistance to county residents age 18 and over who may be experiencing life challenges related to physical or developmental disabilities, infirmities of aging, mental illness or substance abuse. Services can be short or long term in nature and range from outpatient behavioral health intervention to adult protection service investigations. Most involve screening for functional and financial eligibility and all seek to promote consumer choice and self determination while assuring health and safety. Waiting lists may be involved.

Services are typically arranged through the assistance of our staff and delivered in partnership with an extensive array of community agencies.

Brown County has received limited grant funds for medication-assisted treatment (MAT) of Opioid disorders. This treatment will provide Vivitrol to clinically-appropriate residents who are assessed to have a medical necessity.
