Borrow items from other Wisconsin libraries and beyond.
Search the WorldCat/FirstSearch catalog (below) for items available in the libraries of Wisconsin, the U.S. and the world. There are over 32 million items owned by Wisconsin libraries alone.
How to use Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Search the Brown County Library catalog first to see if we own what you need. You will need your library card number. If you are using WorldCat from outside the library, you will also need your PIN (usually the last four digits of your phone number).
ILL is available to all BCL patrons with a valid library card not exceeding $10.00 in fines.
There is a limit of 5 entertainment media requests per week (movies/music/games/tv shows). If you need to request more than 5 in a week, please let us know why in the notes of your request.
Sorry, we cannot borrow items less than 4 months old (as listed in Amazon.com) from other libraries, Suggest a purchase here.
How to request items from within WorldCat
After you have searched WorldCat and you are viewing the full record of the item you want, click the "Request this item from another library" link. In the form that appears, fill in your patron information.
If the request link in WorldCat isn't available, or the items you want are not found in WorldCat, or you have other needs, please use these Interlibrary Loan request forms:
Request form: Books, Movies, Music, Media
Request form: Newspaper, Magazine Articles
