May 29 Into The Beautiful North
Nineteen-year-old Nayeli works at a taco shop in the remote Mexican village of Tres Camarones and dreams about her father, who left for America years ago. Recently, it has dawned on Nayeli that he isn't the only man who has abandoned Tres Camarones. In fact, there are almost no men remaining - they've all gone north. This has also been noticed by a group of particularly nasty drug dealers, who, seeing an easy opportunity, plan to take over the town.

Be a part of this exciting project led by SEEDs for De Pere that will will educate the community about sustainability and renewable energy!

Education is the most effective means to make changes in the way we support sustainable development in our community to benefit ourselves and future generations.

SEEDs for De Pere raised funds for a 20-kilowatt solar-electric array (solar panels) for the roof of the Kress Family Branch Library as well an educational kiosk, and educational programs for all ages. This project will make the library the center for gaining knowledge on recycling, renewable energy and ecological issues. The project is saving thousands of dollars and will offset 49,000 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions - equivalent to burning 2,488 gallons of gasoline or 103,000 pounds of coal!
