Rabies

The Brown County Public Health Division (BCPH) is the local agency responsible for enforcement of Wis. Stat. Chapter 95.21 regarding the Rabies Control Program. Control and investigation of animal bites or suspicious human contact from animals should be dealt with through the BCPH. A Rabies Control Order should be filled out to report any incident.

Function:
  • Evaluate all reports and contact appropriate parties
  • Assure compliance is attained
  • Refer noncompliant cases to the DA's office for prosecution
