Soil Test

Test Your Lawn and Garden Soil:

One of the first steps to successful gardening is having your soil tested. A soil test provides more information about the nutrient status of your garden soil, pH level, organic matter content and texture. The test report also suggests various soil management practices to improve the fertility of the soil for a given crop. You can get your lawn and garden soil tested at the Brown County UW-Extension Office.

Follow these steps to properly submit your soil sample at the UW-Extension Office:

1) Properly sample your soil. For more information on how to sample your soil, please click here

2) Fill in the lawn and garden soil sample submission form. Click here to download the form.

3) Bring your soil sample to the Ag & Extension Service Center, 1150 Bellevue Street, Green Bay, WI 54302.

4) Pay $17.00 (that includes shipping charge) for each soil sample to be tested. Make your check payable to Brown Country Treasurer.
