Naturalist Led Hike ~ September 21st at 9:00am
Let’s take a hike! Explore our woods, wetlands, fields, and trails with a Naturalist led hike at Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve in Suamico. Along each hike we will spend some time identifying plants and looking for animal tracks and signs. Bring along your binoculars and enthusiasm! Hikes will be approximately 1 mile long and last about 1-1.5 hours. This program is FREE to attend and each hike will start in front of the Interpretive Center. No preregistration required (space limited to the first 40 participates).

Wildflower Walk ~ August 23rd at 9:30am
Join our naturalist at Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve in Suamico for a Wildflower Walk! We'll begin inside the West Shores Interpretive Center with an overview of native prairie plants. Followed with a walk to our restored prairie to view and identify the various wildflowers. We will also discuss the significance of wildflowers and prairies and what work was done to restore ours here at Barkhausen. Everyone will get a bag of native wildflower seeds to start your own garden at home! Cost is $5 per person & $15 per family. Preregistration is required by calling 920-448-6242
