DONATE YOUR GENTLY USED BOOKS and MEDIA (See guidelines below)
Support the Brown County Library and the Friends by donating used books, CDs, Books on CD, and DVDs to the library. Your donation may be added to the library's collection or sold at the Used Book Sale to raise money for library programs and equipment. Donations can be dropped off at any Brown County Library.
DONATION GUIDELINES
Suitable donations include:
Paperback and hardcover books in good condition
Books on CD
DVDs and CDs
VHS (movies, TV shows, kids shows, travel, exercise and how-to)
Cookbooks
Sheet Music
Jigsaw puzzles with no missing pieces
Video Games
Rare and valuable items
We cannot use:
Torn, soiled, heavily marked, or mildewed materials.
Books with missing pages.
Textbooks.
Encyclopedias.
Reader's Digest Condensed Books.
Magazines including Time, Reader's Digest, National Geographic, and Prevention.
Outdated computer books, medical texts, tax guides, almanacs, law books or training manuals.
Books and Music on cassette tapes
VHS (business training videos or other industry-specific tapes)
Records
Computer Software
Thank you - your donations are appreciated! The book sales are the primary fundraiser for the Friends of the Brown County Library. All proceeds from the sale benefit the Brown County Library and are used to fund library equipment, programs and materials.
