 The Brown County Drug Task Force is a full-time investigative unit assigned to investigate narcotics at the street level. The unit is comprised of the following:
- One Lieutenant from the Brown County Sheriff's Office, (unit director)
- One Lieutenant from the Green Bay Police Department, (unit supervisor)
- Investigators from the Brown County Sheriff's Office and the Green Bay Police department
- Two assistant district attorneys
- Two secretaries from the Brown County Sheriff's Office
The Brown County Drug Task Force is governed by a Board of Directors which meets monthly, and is chaired by Sheriff Dennis Kocken. Members of this board include:
- Chief Jim Arts; Green Bay Police Department
- Chief Rich Van Boxtel; Oneida Police Department
- Chief Randal Dunford; Pulaski Police Department
- Chief Eric Dunning; Ashwaubenon Public Safety Department
- Chief Derek Beiderwieden; DePere Police Department
- Chief Ron Towns; Denmark Police Department
In addition to conducting investigations, the unit provides training for local law enforcement, fire departments, paramedics, hospital emergency room staff, social workers and teachers. They are also requested to speak at Neighborhood Watch meetings and local high schools. The Drug Task Force works closely with the Federal Drug Enforcement Association, the State Department of Narcotics Enforcement, Green Bay Community Policing Officers, and the Village of Howard Community Police Officer. These units have proven to be valuable assets to the Drug Task Force's fight on crime.
