Did you know that 4 out of 5 kids are not buckled into their car seat correctly?
The Brown County Car Seat Program has a permanent fitting station for parents, grandparents, and caregivers to get their children’s car seats checked by a certified Car Seat Technician. The program is located in the lower garage of the Brown County Health Department office at 610 S. Broadway Street in Green Bay. This free service is available for all residents of Brown County, excluding residents of the City of De Pere. (The City of De Pere has their own program for De Pere city residents.)
The program has a partnership with WIC and reduced-cost car seats are available to those who qualify for the WIC Program. If you are a WIC recipient, ask your local WIC office about this service at your next appointment.
A 30-minute check will ensure that your seat has not been recalled, that it is adjusted properly to fit your child, and that it fits securely into your vehicle.
