Facility Management
The Brown County Facility Management Department services over 1,000,000 gross square feet of buildings and their respective grounds.
Major services of the Department include: climate control, space planning, energy management, preventive maintenance, mechanical/electrical repair and emergency service, light construction, housekeeping, laundry, contracted services, grounds and lots maintenance, vehicle maintenance, signage, building security and lock services, mail, records management, and copy center services. these services are monitored through a computerized facilities management program to assure control of priorities and efficient labor utilization.
In addition to these services, the Department provides consultation to other department heads, program directors, and also manages major construction/renovation contracts with architects and contractors.

Park Management
The Parks Department operates 18 parks, recreation areas, and natural areas comprised of over 3,600 acres. Parks activities include conservancy and wildlife management; educational programs, wildlife observation blinds and lookout tower; hiking, mountain biking, skiing, equestrian, and snowmobile trails; boat launching, picnic, playground, pet exercise, disc golf areas, camping and shelter rentals; festivals and special events including the county fair; state recreational trails; and a rifle range. Parks managed include Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve/Ft Howard Paper Foundation Wildlife Are (919 acres), Bay Shore Park (86 acres), the Fairgrounds (36 acres), the Reforestation Camp (1,560 acres), Fonferek's Glen (74 acres), and the Mountain-Bay (13.5 miles) and Fox River (19.6 miles) State Recreational Trails.
