 The Library received the Excellence through Partnerships for Children Award at the 16th Annual State of Brown County's Children breakfast on April 15.
The nomination noted that the Library provides storytimes and a wide variety of learning activities for birth to school age children at nine locations and the bookmobile. The Library cooperatively works with Family and Child Care Resource Center of Northeast Wisconsin, Encompass, United Way, Family Services, UW-Extension and other county divisions, Green Bay and other school districts, UWGB, Adolescent Parenting Coalition, County Birth to Three program, YMCAs, amongst others; as well as provides services or programs for special community events, such as the Big Event for Little Kids, Back to School Store, and Come Play With Me. | | 
Dr. Terry Watermolen, President of the Library Board of Trustees from 2006-2012, was honored with the 2013 Schneider National Foundation Volunteer Leadership Award at the 25th Annual WPS Volunteer Awards Breakfast on April 16. His dedication, hard-work and tremendous leadership have been significant and he is truly deserving of the award.
